Ocean Bluff Bed & Breakfast
About Ocean Bluff B&B
Ocean Bluff B&B is located on top of the bluffs overlooking Cook Inlet. You can see beautiful views of Mount Redoubt, Mount Spur and other active volcanoes from the deck of our backyard. Our B&B has been inspected and approved for comfort, quality, and personal touches. Your lodging can be one of three rooms in the house or in our cabin on the bluff. The trees surrounding the house are favorite nesting spots for the many bald eagles in our area. You may even see a dog sled team summer training down on the beach, or a mother moose teaching her calf the best places to find dinner (usually in our backyard!). During the months of June and July, you can watch fishermen pull in their catch from set nets, right below you. Also another important item is that I have taken the plunge and now have a dog. She is a Staffordshire Terrier named Willow. So I can no longer advertise as a pet free home. I am sorry for the people who have allergies, I can assure you she does not go back in the bedroom area. She is limited to the common room and my rooms.
Jay & I took over the B&B in 2005 and have enjoyed it so much.
Located between Homer and Soldotna, Ocean Bluff is an excellent place to stay when you want to get away from the noise of the city but still close enough to the fishing action. You’ll be approximately 30 minutes to both the Deep Creek halibut fishing launch site and meeting points for the Kenai River salmon trips. The mouth of the Kasilof River is just 5 minutes away. Whether you want to fish for salmon or halibut, beach comb for sea shells, fly in for bear viewing, dig for clams at Clam Gulch, or hike the area, you will find Ocean Bluff is the perfect place to stay.
As you can see Willow really likes the stove and the heat that is coming out from it during these cold winter months.
