"The highlight of the trip began that Tuesday when we drove down the Kenai peninsula to Ocean Bluff Bed and Breakfast where we had our own little cabin on a cliff above the beach.  We could lay in bed and watch the two hour sunset on the snow covered volcanoes across Cook Inlet.  Very reasonable priced, pleasant host and hostess and OK food.  The cabin was darling, all Alaskan motif decorations.  The bathroom had a little plaque with the inscription: "Those who can laugh at themselves will never cease to be amused" and even had a toilet seat of clear plastic encasing a number of fishing flies.  Long walks on the beach, hikes in the forest, two visits an hour way to Homer, AK.  I was bawling when it finally came time to drive back to Anchorage and fly home"  Janet L. San Francisco, CA

This is the best bed & breakfast I have ever visited, hands down. The rooms were all so CLEAN! Spotless! Cleanliness is paramount to me, and both Kathy and Jay clearly feel the same, as my room was so clean I couldn’t find a dust bunny even if I tried.  Kuddos!  It goes without saying that the location was beautiful, serene, amazing… I can’t think of enough adjectives to describe how wonderful Alaska is. The breakfasts they fixed were five-star – maybe six! In the morning we had sourdough pancakes unlike anything I had tasted before and homemade syrup! I couldn’t believe how well maintained the property was. Kathy and Jay were both friendly and accommodating. This was a wonderful trip and I hope I can soon return to Alaska - and the Ocean Bluff Bed & Breakfast.  Cathy T, Washington DC

If you ever plan to go to Alaska for sightseeing, fishing, visiting, or for you Alaskans, just a weekend get-a-way, we know of a really great place to stay.  Jay and Kathy Carlisle own and operate a quality Bed and Breakfast.  For you fisherman, their B&B is minutes away from the best salmon fishing in the world.  It is located on the Cook Inlet where the halibut fishing just cannot be beat.  In fact Pat caught her 141 pound halibut last year, basically in Jay and Kathy’s backyard.  Check out their website at www.oceanbluffalaska.com.  They have loads of pictures; sight seeing pictures, animal pictures (the moose eat their rhubarb), and of course some great fish pictures.
While spending our summers in Alaska over the past few years, we have visited, partied, and fished many times with the Carlisle family, and we always had a great time.
So if it is in your plans to see and experience Alaska, the Carlisle’s will ensure that you will have a most enjoyable time in Alaska.  Be sure and tell them you know Jack Chriske, M.D.  That just may cause Kathy to go into a story telling mode.
